Gym upgrades at St James’s Gate supports growing community membership
The St. James’s Gate Fitness Centre in Dublin 8 has recently completed a full refurbishment of its gym facilities. This is a unique place – both a workplace gym for Diageo employees at St. James’s Gate, but also a valuable fitness resource accessible to the local community around the brewery site.
Working in partnership with Life fitness and Ziva, the St. James’s Gate Fitness Centre is now home to a superb gym facility that has been a resounding success with members and staff alike.
Dan Glue, Operations Director for 3d, which runs the centre, said: “We have worked with Diageo for over seven years and this is the second major investment we have completed at the St. James’s Gate Fitness Centre. Membership has grown steadily, so it was essential that we developed and expanded the facilities to meet the ever-growing demands of our members and staff.”
Some of the facilities available to members of the St. James’s Gate Fitness Centre include:
- A 25m swimming pool with viewing balcony, swimming lessons, a sauna and steam rooms
- A refurbished gym with a new range of life fitness and Ziva fitness equipment, including a new cardio range and Ziva racks and smith machines.
- Fitness assessments, personal training and personalised training programmes.
- And an exercise studio with a range of 20 popular classes per week including: Zumba, pilates, yoga, circuit training, aqua fitness, and more.
The centre also offers free swimming sessions to community groups based in Dublin 8 during the Easter and summer school holidays. Groups interested in availing of these can contact jill.mccann@diageo.com.
